A Moment in Time

So this week’s See It Snap It Love It theme hosted by the lovely Dear Beautiful Boy is “A Moment in Time”. Looking back through my photos I came across this pic of me and my hubby on our wedding day during our first dance. At that moment in time there was just me and him, starting a new chapters in our lives together. It was a beautiful moment captured that will forever remain fresh in my mind and heart.

Why?

I have been tagged in this great little meme by Dorky Mum. Anyone with a toddler will have heard the word ‘why’ more times than they would have liked, and that is just today. Although the little dude isn’t yet saying much more than dada I know it won’t be long until he is questioning anything and everything. Before he learns the word, I have my chance to ask him a few Why’s. .

Oat and raisin Cookies

After a bit about pregnancy sickness, I go on to say this…… The other day I thought it was time that I tested whether I can stand the smell of baking, and although I wasn’t overly fussed about eating freshly baked goods like I usually am, I wanted to take some along to our La Leche League breastfeeding support group coffee morning. So I went for it. I decided on something quite plain, that was quick and easy: these oat and raisin cookies did just the job.

I am peeping out from behind the sun

So this week I am 15 weeks pregnant! Wow, how is that possible? To be honest I think I have been so concentrating on trying to not feel so ill that I have been taking each day as it comes. I have spent so many days laying on my bed between school runs thinking, just keep still and you wont be sick again that I may not have been bonding with this baby.

Reasons to be Cheerful #R2BC

Walking into work this morning I suddenly remembered it was Thursday so time for my reasons to be cheerful again. I haven’t had time to think of anything before now as we’ve been so busy out in the sun that blogging has not been high on my list of priorities this week. I haven’t done much of anything this week so I’ll have to write this quick as I’ve got a pile of ironing that’s as tall as me which must be done tonight.

Move that bus!
Well, not quite. But, we did start demo on the back hall yesterday. It went quickly and nothing collapsed, so it was a winning kind of day. We were surprised by a few things that we found, but some of those surprises were of the good sort.

Hand to Mouth – in a first world kind of way

I woke up early this morning in a panic realising that yesterday I forgot to pay the weekly instalment on my energy bill. Stressed and harrowed, I got out of bed immediately and phoned through the payment before 7am. I just have my fingers crossed that everything works out okay.
“That doesn’t sound so bad” I hear you say. “Why the panic?”
The stress stems from the fact that our energy bill for the quarter was over $1000.
I hear you gasp and mutter under your breath…
